The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Whitaker .
Whitaker throws a sloppy body shot
and Rossi counters with a straight right hand.
Rossi slips under a jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rossi! But no joy.
Rossi throws a nice head kick!

Whitaker is rocked!

It looks like Roy Whitaker has been cut.
Whitaker throws a chopping leg kick but Rossi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Oh Whitaker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Whitaker scores with a jab to the jaw.
Rossi slips under a jab.
Whitaker seems to have got his legs back now.
A slow jab from Whitaker misses its intended target.
Rossi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Whitaker throws out a leg kick but Rossi moves out of range and Whitaker only half commits.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rossi! But no joy.
Whitaker misses with an uppercut. Rossi saw that one coming.
Rossi scores with a nice head shot.
Whitaker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Whitaker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rossi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rossi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Whitaker lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Whitaker throws a lazy right hand but Rossi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rossi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Whitaker thows a left - swing and a miss!
Whitaker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rossi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Rossi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Whitaker throws a lazy head kick
and Whitaker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rossi misses the jab.
Rossi throws the left hand but Whitaker avoids the punch easily.
Whitaker lands with a kick to the temple. Rossi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Rossi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Rossi moves out of range as Whitaker strikes.

It seemed like Rossi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Rossi misses with a lunging right hand
and Whitaker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Whitaker throws a leg kick but Rossi moved away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rossi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Whitaker .
Rossi throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Whitaker swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rossi.
Whitaker throws a quick inside leg kick.
Whitaker misses with a left hand
and Whitaker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rossi avoids the head kick by Whitaker .
Rossi might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Whitaker throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Rossi counters with a nice body kick.
Rossi misses with a kick to the body.
Whitaker with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Whitaker fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rossi is out of range.
Whitaker misses with a jab to the body
and Rossi counters with a stiff right hand.
Whitaker throws a shot from downtown. Rossi moves away and avoids it.
Rossi lands a brutal head kick. Whitaker looks out on his feet and Rossi throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, Marchrius Rossi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Roy Whitaker had this to say: 'Well...the time where it doesn't matter if I win or not has come...I know I said I won't retire and keep it going, but the age really got to me. It's time to leave the gloves in the cage, thank you all!'.
