Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Erih Kalan (ranked 4540 p4p, 5244 weight class) and Cal Worthington (ranked 512 p4p, 547 weight class). Cal Worthington told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Erih Kalan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cal Worthington!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worthington avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kalan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Worthington slips under a jab from Kalan.
Worthington's coach down at St Petersburg MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Worthington's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Worthington fails with the takedown.
Kalan appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Kalan throws out a loose jab but Worthington uses good head movement to avoid it.
Worthington will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Worthington misses with a takedown attempt - Kalan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Erih Kalan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cal Worthington.
Worthington keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kalan.
Kalan swings away with a body shot that misses
and Worthington cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Worthington closes the distance and clinches up with Kalan, looking for a takedown. Worthington pushes Kalan against the cage but Kalan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Worthington bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kalan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Worthington counters with a series of strikes. Kalan will be more careful next time no doubt.
A head kick from Worthington lands but Kalan takes it in his stride.
Erih Kalan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kalan misses with a body shot
and Worthington counters with a three punch combo that has Kalan backing up. Kalan nods at Worthington to acknowledge the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Worthington scores with a jab to the body.
Worthington shoots in for a takedown but Kalan shows good takedown defense.
Kalan misses with a left hand
and Worthington counters with a left and a right that stings Kalan.
Kalan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Worthington shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kalan pinned against the cage. Kalan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Worthington looks winded!
Kalan closes the distance and clinches.
Kalan has picked Worthington up - he's going for a ride! Kalan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Worthington kicks off Kalan and gets to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Worthington closes the distance and clinches up with Kalan, looking for a takedown. Worthington pushes Kalan against the cage but Kalan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kalan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kalan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Worthington pushes Kalan off but Kalan dives into side control.
Worthington really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Worthington takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Kalan in side control lands a decent elbow.
Worthington is rocked!
Kalan trying to control the action but Worthington is working from the bottom.
Kalan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kalan lands some shots froms side control.
Worthington is still in real trouble! Can Kalan finish him?
Kalan lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Worthington! Kalan senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Worthington out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
