Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Serhey Rishkinov (ranked 1767 p4p, 1590 weight class) and Jonathan Archer (ranked 234 p4p, 211 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer moves out of range of the body kick.
Archer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rishkinov to the ground. Archer is now in Rishkinov's guard.
Rishkinov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Archer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Archer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rishkinov is keeping the position for now.
Archer keeps trying to improve his position.
Rishkinov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Archer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rishkinov keeping full guard, as Archer tries to pass.
Rishkinov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rishkinov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Rishkinov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Archer is one step ahead there.
Archer is looking to stand up but Rishkinov won't let him.
Archer is sitting in close to Rishkinov's body. Rishkinov has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Archer is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Archer is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rishkinov.

A very excited looking Serhey Rishkinov rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
