Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Choi Ong (ranked 5971 p4p, 24994 weight class) and Dawindi Buktot (ranked 483 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Choi Ong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buktot throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ong was covering up waiting for the punch and Buktot finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ong is looking to stand back up but Buktot counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ong. Ong trying to control from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ong tries to roll over but Buktot keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ong wants to control but Buktot is keeping busy.
Ong is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Ong wants to get back to his feet.
Buktot prevents Ong from improving his position. Buktot is controlling the pace.
Ong is looking for a sweep. Buktot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ong is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Buktot scores with a couple of nice shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ong works the jab nicely. Ong takes the fight into the clinch. Ong putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Buktot in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Ong lands a good knee to the midsection. Buktot won't want to take too many of those. Ong crunches a lovely knee into Buktot's ribcage. Ong lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Ong crunches a lovely knee into Buktot's ribcage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ong lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Ong. A knee to the head by Ong.
Ong is breathing heavily. Ong lands a knee to the body.
Buktot takes an elbow to the forehead. Ong connects with a knee to the head.
Ong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Buktot tries to keep at a distance but Ong has taken the fight into the clinch. Ong landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Ong crunches a lovely knee into Buktot's ribcage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ong is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Buktot tries to pull guard but Ong holds him up against the cage and eventually Buktot drops back down to his feet.
Buktot blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Buktot managing to block the knees to the body from Ong.
Ong creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Buktot has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ong avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Buktot has Ong pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ong manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Choi Ong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dawindi Buktot. Ong has Buktot pushed against the cage. Come on Ong - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Choi Ong dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ong is looking to stand back up but Buktot counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ong. Ong is positioning himself well to prevent Buktot advancing to mount. Ong is trying to control but can't.

Dawindi Buktot has got the better of the ground game so far. Ong is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Buktot tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Buktot lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Ong tries to improve his position but Buktot has taken his back! Buktot has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Ong tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Buktot pushes Ong away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dawindi Buktot!
