The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John misses with a straight left.
John thuds his right hand into Buut's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Walay Buut has been cut.
John closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Buut! John dives in looking to finish! Buut is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris John!
Chris John bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
