Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon John (ranked 4321 p4p, 24441 weight class) and Brane Rebernik (ranked 491 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brane Rebernik!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rebernik comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rebernik misses with a hook
and John counters with a nice kick to the body.
Rebernik throws an uppercut from half a mile away. John sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rebernik ducks down and throws a hook to the body but John moves away.
John appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Rebernik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but John manages to avoid it.

That kick from John tenderised Rebernik's leg. Rebernik is trying to keep his angry face on.
Rebernik swings for the body but John moves out of range.
John walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

John wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
John tries to keep at a distance but Rebernik has taken the fight into the clinch.

John cracks Rebernik with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. John has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rebernik to stand back up!

Rebernik is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down John rather than just go for the knockout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

John dips a shoulder and cracks Rebernik with a mighty uppercut! Rebernik falls back against the cage and John unloads with a barrage of strikes! Rebernik is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - John screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
