Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Purple Aki (ranked 1080 p4p, 3417 weight class) and Clint Nantz (ranked 150 p4p, 369 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Purple Aki has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Purple Aki seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clint Nantz!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nantz tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Aki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Nantz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Nantz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Aki seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nantz for as long as he can get away with.
Nantz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aki connects with a nice short shot to Nantz's temple.

Aki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nantz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nantz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Aki is landing with some decent strikes but Nantz is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Aki has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Nantz's face.

Aki unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Nantz wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Aki celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
