Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Dixon (ranked 4275 p4p, 4342 weight class) and Alessio Ricci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Calvin Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alessio Ricci! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ricci gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ricci fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dixon lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Dixon lands a hook to the side of the head. Ricci tries to pull guard but Dixon holds him up against the cage and eventually Ricci drops back down to his feet.
Ricci jumps guard but Dixon turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Calvin Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alessio Ricci. Ricci jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dixon walks away with a smile on his face. Ricci gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Dixon gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ricci tries to pull guard but Dixon forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Ricci prevents a body shot from Dixon. Dixon lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Ricci tries to pull guard but Dixon won't allow it.
Dixon lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Dixon misses with an elbow over the top. Ricci is trying to pull guard but Dixon has him pressed against the cage. Ricci tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dixon just stands there and leans against the cage. Dixon lands with a short shot to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ricci pulls guard successfully.
Ricci is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dixon is aware though and is defending well. Dixon wants to get up but he can't break Ricci's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ricci has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dixon is looking to defend but Ricci has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dixon! Ricci pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dixon taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Alessio Ricci!
