Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Khabib Ferguson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bento Barboza!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barboza slips a jab from Ferguson.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Barboza pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Barboza fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ferguson.
Ferguson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barboza ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Barboza! But no joy.
Ferguson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Barboza makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ferguson really felt that one!
Barboza has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A shot to the body from Ferguson misses
enabling Barboza to counter with a crisp jab.

Ferguson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Barboza counters with a body kick that stops Ferguson in his tracks momentarily.
Ferguson is breathing heavily.

Barboza cracks Ferguson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ferguson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Barboza finish him?

It looks like Khabib Ferguson has been cut.
Barboza scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ferguson doesn't seem bothered though.
Barboza dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ferguson. That did some damage!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barboza lands a big uppercut and Ferguson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ferguson looks OK. Barboza waves Ferguson back to his feet!

Ferguson is rocked!
Barboza darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Ferguson's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Barboza before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bento Barboza!
An out of breath Bento Barboza thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
