Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Sleeth (ranked 1441 p4p, 2080 weight class) and Nico Campbell (ranked 203 p4p, 273 weight class). Dusty Sleeth has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nico Campbell!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell leaves Sleeth with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The crowd cheers as Campbell lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sleeth doesn't seem phased though.
Campbell thumps Sleeth with a low kick.
Sleeth misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sleeth's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Campbell connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sleeth scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Dusty Sleeth has been cut.
Campbell digs a good body shot into Sleeth's ribs.
Sleeth goes for a double leg but Campbell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Campbell continues to drive forward.

Campbell wants to slow Sleeth down by chopping away at his legs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Campbell throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Sleeth moves in looking to clinch but Campbell pushes him off.

Sleeth closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Campbell quickly recovers to half guard.
Campbell is trying to control but Sleeth passes into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Campbell is trying to improve his position.

Campbell parries the strikes from Sleeth easily there. Sleeth is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Campbell to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sleeth cracks Campbell with a big elbow.
Sleeth works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Campbell struggling a bit here.
Campbell is not content to let Sleeth control the position.
Campbell is trying to control Sleeth's posture but Sleeth avoids it.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Dusty Sleeth's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Campbell throws the left hand but Sleeth avoids the punch easily.
Sleeth appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sleeth.
Sleeth fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Campbell scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Sleeth uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Campbell.

Sleeth shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Campbell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Campbell is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sleeth dives into side control.

Campbell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sleeth wants to control but Campbell is keeping him busy.
