Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Boyette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Seph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyette's entrance music is Frenzal Bomb - Mr. Charisma. A fine choice. Seph has chosen Wheres My Brother? as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Boyette! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Seph! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seph lands an overhand right.
It looks like Danny Boyette has been cut. Seph misses with a series of wild punches.
Joe Seph seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boyette rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Seph moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Seph pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Seph throws the left hand but Boyette avoids the punch easily. Boyette lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Joe Seph has been cut. Seph avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boyette throws a right and a left that Seph avoids nicely. Boyette scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Seph throws a combination that misses and Boyette cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. No joy there for Boyette, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Seph looks gassed! Boyette lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A telegraphed right hand from Seph misses the target. Boyette connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyette ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Nice combo by Boyette! Oh, that's hurt him - Seph falls to the canvas and Boyette follows him into side control. Boyette tries to advance to mount but Seph denies him. Boyette is trying to get an arm triangle but Seph is defending well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boyette tries to advance to mount but Seph denies him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ground and pound from Boyette seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Seph's head. Boyette not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Boyette is working for a kimura but Seph is defending it quite comfortably.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A cross from Boyette lands. Boyette misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Seph.
Seph throws a big shot that misses. Seph fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boyette manages to avoid it. Boyette throws a right and a left that Seph avoids nicely. Boyette cracks Seph with a right hand to the side of the head. Seph fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boyette, pushing him back against the cage. Seph drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Boyette gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Seph breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Boyette ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Seph moves away. A big left from Seph misses. Seph shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boyette's guard. Boyette throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Boyette striking off his back but it's not causing Seph any problems. Seph trying to control but Boyette is working from the bottom. Boyette wants to stand but Seph is controlling the position. Seph preventing the sweep. Boyette controls Seph momentarily but Seph frees himself. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Boyette had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Seph is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Boyette Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Seph's back instead. Seph trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boyette swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Seph. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boyette misses with a few strikes there.

Seph had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Boyette is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Seph fails with an attempt to clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boyette tries to control but Seph manages to take his back. Boyette covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Seph clobbers Boyette with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Seph buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Boyette is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Seph is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Seph content to stall in guard here. Boyette looking for a sweep. Not yet Boyette, not yet. Seph with a nice head shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Seph stopping the sweep attempt from Boyette. Boyette throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
