Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ikuma Arishima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pete Roberts!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arishima lands a left and a right that send Roberts crashing to the mat, dazed. Arishima thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Roberts is rocked!
Arishima is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Roberts flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Roberts is out cold! Arishima holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ikuma Arishima!
Ikuma Arishima took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
