Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Dude (ranked 2394 p4p, 3892 weight class) and Jamari Lexington (ranked 306 p4p, 464 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Dude! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamari Lexington! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dude darts in and clinches Lexington up against the cage. Lexington breaks the clinch.
Dude clinches up with Lexington and pushes him back against the cage. Lexington slowing the pace effectively. Dude is trying to break free. Dude manages to break the clinch.
Lexington throws a series of punches but Dude avoids them all with ease. Dude scores with a one two! Lexington had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Dude clinches up with Lexington and pushes him back against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Lexington - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dude lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lexington backwards. Dude working hard to break the clinch. A bit of stalling here from Lexington.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lexington breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lexington ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Lexington dives in and grabs Dude's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dude pushes down on Lexington's head and hops out. Dude has taken the fight to the clinch.

The Dude is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dude tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dude closes the distance and clinches. Lexington wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dude has him pressed against the cage. Lexington is trying to drag Dude to the mat but Dude just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dude tries to break free but Lexington pushes him back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dude instigates a clinch. Dude will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lexington up against the cage. Dude is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Dude seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Lexington throws a knee to the head but misses.

Lexington gets to his feet - Dude follows without any prompting. Lexington keeps the fight on the outside. The Dude is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dude moves into the clinch successfully.

Lexington drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lexington postures up in Dude's guard and throws a big left but Dude blocks it.

Lexington is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dude is defending well for now. Lexington displaying some good clinch control by pressing Dude up against the cage. Lexington's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dude wants to clinch up but Lexington keeps it at a distance. Lexington throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dude's waist but Dude gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lexington off to one side. Dude went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dude closes the distance and pushes Lexington back into the cage. The Dude has scored more points in the clinch so far. Lexington drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Lexington jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dude walks away with a smile on his face. Lexington gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nice cross by Dude. Dude bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lexington's head backwards. Dude is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lexington can do to turn this around? Lexington misses with a jab to the body
enabling Dude to counter with a crisp jab. We've been told by Dude's head coaches at Sparks gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dude lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lexington takes the fight into the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dude takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that The Dude will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lexington is defended easily by Dude. Dude is looking to counter punch. Lexington shoots in but Dude avoids the takedown attempt easily. The Dude is winning the standup battle so far. Lexington tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dude swivels and escapes. The Dude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamari Lexington. Lexington throws a body punch but Dude moves out of range. Lexington shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Dude to counter with a crisp jab. Dude displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lexington throws out the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for Dude, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dude lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Lexington misses with a takedown attempt - Dude sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dude tries to bum rush Lexington with a series of wild strikes but Lexington uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lexington circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dude tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lexington manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dude takes the fight into the clinch. Lexington drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dude gets the underhooks and prevents it.

A head punch on the inside from Lexington fails to land. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lexington jumps guard but Dude stands there with Lexington around his waist. Lexington gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lexington tries to pull guard but Dude forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Dude stalls. Dude is looking to break free of the clinch but Lexington has double underhooks. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dude as Lexington tries to tie him up. Nice body punch from Dude - that landed with a thud.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dude will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lexington up against the cage. Dude struggles to land a body shot inside as Lexington controls his hands.

Dude breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dude moves into the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lexington is looking to take this one to the mat. Lexington wants to take the fight to the mat but Dude manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! The Dude showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dude, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
