Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erik Dodson (ranked 5145 p4p, 5286 weight class) and Leon Wright (ranked 422 p4p, 428 weight class). Leon Wright struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Dodson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Dodson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wright takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dodson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Wright is rocked!
Wright switches off momentarily and Dodson cracks him with a monster right hand! Wright topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Dodson dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Dodson!
