Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sir Lancelot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corwyn Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potts has chosen Mama Said Knock you Out as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Corwyn Potts was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sir Lancelot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwyn Potts! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lancelot swinging wilding here.
Potts dodges the punch combination from Lancelot.
Lancelot moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Corwyn Potts has been cut. Lancelot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lancelot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Potts has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lancelot has managed to get both his arms back between Potts's legs - danger averted. Lancelot working some strikes from top position. Lancelot wants to control from the top but Potts keeps moving. Lancelot loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lancelot in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Potts working for a triangle but Lancelot defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lancelot passes Potts's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lancelot is thwarting Potts's attempts to control the position. Lancelot lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Lancelot looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Potts with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lancelot connects with a nice short shot to Potts's temple. Lancelot keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lancelot seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Potts tries to kick Lancelot off but Lancelot keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Potts flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lancelot is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lancelot connects with a nice short shot to Potts's temple. Potts is trying to maintain the position but Lancelot is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lancelot landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Potts tries to roll over but Lancelot keeps him under control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Potts looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lancelot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Potts looks gassed! Ground and pound from Lancelot. Lancelot is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lancelot looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Potts with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Potts is looking for a sweep. Lancelot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Potts is trying to maintain the position but Lancelot is very close to passing his half guard. Lancelot slips a nice elbow through Potts's hands, connecting with Potts's forehead. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ground and pound from Lancelot. Lancelot is nestled in close to Potts, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lancelot is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lancelot stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Potts to get to his feet. Lancelot shoots in looking for a takedown. Potts tries to sprawl out of it but Lancelot keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Potts manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lancelot is defended easily by Potts. Lancelot throws a right and a left that Potts avoids nicely. Lancelot looks to land a right hand but Potts moved out of range. Potts drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lancelot throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Potts postures up in Lancelot's guard and throws a big left but Lancelot blocks it. Lancelot is trying to control the position but Potts postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lancelot looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Potts pushing down on Lancelot's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Lancelot has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Potts is working away from the top position though. Lancelot looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Potts is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Potts tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lancelot paws at him with a jab and circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lancelot lands with a nice combination. Potts backs away looking to recover. Lancelot looks for a takedown but Potts sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sir Lancelot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Potts is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sir Lancelot dominated that round. The cut man is working on Corwyn Potts's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lancelot gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Potts counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Potts. Potts prevents the takedown attempt.

Lancelot tries for a takedown but Potts sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sir Lancelot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Potts moves in looking to clinch but Lancelot pushes him off. Potts tries to clinch but Lancelot is having none of it. Lancelot misses with a combination
and Potts counters by clinching up. Potts is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Lancelot tries for a takedown. No joy.

Lancelot swats away the attempt to clinch by Potts. Lancelot looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Potts is trying to control but can't.
Potts pushes Lancelot off looking to stand but Lancelot dives back in and keeps control.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Potts defends it well. Sir Lancelot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lancelot is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lancelot lands a couple of digs. Sir Lancelot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Potts wants to control his opponent's hands but Lancelot gets his hands free. Lancelot is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Lancelot lands a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lancelot is riding his opponent, not letting Potts buck him off. Lancelot not allowing Potts to control his hands. Lancelot cracks Potts with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Potts from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Lancelot has good solid back control here. Lancelot is working the ground and pound. Can Potts escape? Lancelot is riding his opponent, not letting Potts buck him off. Lancelot seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Potts for as long as he can get away with. Corwyn Potts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lancelot lands a shot to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Sir Lancelot showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lancelot, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
