Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marco Polo (ranked 1771 p4p, 2253 weight class) and Tony Spade (ranked 191 p4p, 241 weight class). Spade has chosen A Better View as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade misses with a hook to the body

Polo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spade was well out of range. Poor timing from Polo.
It seemed like Spade was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Spade scores with a jab. Polo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Polo throws a lazy right hand but Spade sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Polo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Spade connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Polo scrambles back to his feet.

Spade feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Polos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Polo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Spade has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Spade is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Polo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Spade tries to clinch up but Polo circles away and keeps his distance.
It looked like Polo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Spade.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Spade throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spade takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Spade might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Polo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Polo walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Spade drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Polo swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Spade's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
