Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max House has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max House!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Michaels!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
House avoids the head kick by Michaels.
House scores with a nice strike.
House lands with a nice combination. Michaels backs away looking to recover.
House tries to close the distance and clinch up but Michaels swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Michaels leaves House with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Michaels shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Michaels showed some decent athleticism there.

Michaels decides to return to a standing position.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
House fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
House tries to clinch there but Michaels circles away.
House shoots in looking for a takedown. Michaels tries to sprawl out of it but House keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Michaels manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

House changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Michaels tries to avoid it but House manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Michaels to the ground. Michaels escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
House bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

House is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
House postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

House trying to control from half guard but Michaels is working away.
Michaels wants to get back to his feet.

House seems to be looking for submissions.
Michaels is looking for a sweep. House is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
House wants to free his trapped foot but Michaels is holding on for dear life with his legs.

House is trying to work for a kimura but Michaels is defending well.

House looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
House looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
House tries to pass the half guard into mount. Michaels knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

House seems to be looking for submissions.
Michaels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with House. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

House is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Michaels sees it coming and defends easily.
House is trying to control the action in half guard but Michaels is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
House throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
House is stalling here. Michaels is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! House seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Michaels has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

House closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

House is working for a submission of some sort.
Michaels tries to kick House off but House keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
House is looking to take a break and control but Michaels is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Michaels is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Michaels tries to get to full guard but House has control of the leg.

House is looking to take a break and control but Michaels is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
House thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Michaels goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
House stalks Michaels and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Michaels's face. Michaels staggers backwards, shaken.

House shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Michaels as he jumps to the side.

House throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Michaels keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
House has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Michaels works to full guard.

House is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

House trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

House drops back looking for a leg! Michaels is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Michaels manages to kick House off! House jumps back into Michaels's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
House closes the distance but Michaels moves to the side
and Michaels counters with a head kick. That will keep House thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Michaels ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
House throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Michaels.
Horrible takedown by House or perhaps it was just good defense by Michaels which made him look bad.

House stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Michaels swivels though and keeps the full guard.

House shoots for a double leg takedown but Michaels sprawls well. He's pushed House's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
House misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
House comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
House changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Michaels tries to avoid it but House manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Michaels to the ground. Michaels escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Michaels lands with a kick to the temple. House shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

House looks for a takedown but Michaels sprawls well.

Michaels connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed House momentarily.
House keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Michaels throws a head kick that misses.

Michaels tries to circle away but House has him pinned against the cage.
House prevents the takedown attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Michaels tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. House smiles and moves away.
House throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Michaels's waist but Michaels gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing House off to one side.

House looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Michaels is fending him off so far but House persists. Nope, Michaels circles away and we're back to standing.

House has Michaels pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. House pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Michaels tumbling to the mat - House dives into Michaels's guard.

and House moves into the clinch.

Michaels jumps guard and drags House to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
House tries to free his leg and advance position but Michaels is retaining full guard.
Shawn Michaels is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Michaels is pulling down on House's head. It's preventing any offense from House, at least for the moment.
House wants to control from the top but Michaels keeps moving.
House throwing strikes but missing.
Max House has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

House drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and House jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Shawn Michaels comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Michaels winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
