Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jello Belly (ranked 2919 p4p, 3082 weight class) and Curtis Rome (ranked 350 p4p, 368 weight class). Jello Belly has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jello Belly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Curtis Rome!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rome clinches up with Belly and pushes him back against the cage.
Rome pushes Belly back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rome.
Belly is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rome pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rome has a couple of punches blocked by Belly.
Still in the clinch, Rome scores with a nice short uppercut.
Belly blocks an uppercut.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Belly.
Belly breaks the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rome has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Belly shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rome as he avoids it easily.
Rome closes the distance and pushes Belly back into the cage.
Belly is trying to drag Rome to the mat but Rome just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jello Belly. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Belly goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rome prevents it.
Belly fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rome is looking for a sweep.

Rome ducks under a wild hook from Belly.

Belly pushes Rome off and scrambles back to his feet.
Rome moves away from the strike by Belly.
Rome shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Belly napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Belly sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Rome is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Rome works his way into full mount!

Rome is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Belly is looking to improve his position but Rome isn't that keen on the idea.
Belly wants to hold on but Rome pushes him away.
Belly working to try and regain half guard.
Belly is squirming around, avoiding Rome's attempts to control the action.

Belly is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Rome sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Rome's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Belly tries to reverse the position but Rome maintains control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Belly manages to regain half guard. Good work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Curtis Rome will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Rome moves into range and clinches up with Belly.
Belly is trying to pull guard but Rome has him pressed against the cage.
Rome throws a punch but it's blocked by Belly.
Belly tries for a takedown but Rome manages to get underhooks.

Belly jumps guard but Rome stands there with Belly around his waist. Belly gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rome sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Belly doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Rome paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Belly - great work!
