Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lafferty shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lafferty was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gawain is looking for a sweep.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gawain can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gawain is trying to control Lafferty's posture but Lafferty avoids it.
Lafferty wants to control but Gawain is keeping him busy.
Gawain wants to control but Lafferty postures up.
Gawain manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Gawain wants to control but Lafferty is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gawain moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lafferty is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gawain has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lafferty is looking to defend but Gawain has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lafferty! Gawain pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lafferty taps out and this one is all over!
