Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Torres (ranked 5163 p4p, 3690 weight class) and Toti Rotiz (ranked 586 p4p, 483 weight class). Rotiz has chosen Southtown as his entrance music. Toti Rotiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Toti Rotiz!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rotiz shoots in and drives through. Torres sprawls well.
As Rotiz tries to get set, Torres tries to push him back and clinch up but Rotiz manages to avoid the attempt.
Rotiz lands with a right hand.
Torres dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rotiz looks for a takedown but Torres sprawls well.
Rotiz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Torres makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Torres lands a really nice looking cross but Rotiz seems unphased.

It looks like Toti Rotiz has been cut.
Torres throws out a powerful jab.

Torres connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Rotiz to the floor! Torres dives in looking for the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rotiz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Torres tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Well, if Torres is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rotiz wants to get back to his feet.
Torres perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Torres stands up and beckons Rotiz to join him on the feet.
Rotiz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Miguel Torres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toti Rotiz.
Torres moves into range and connects with a jab.

That has opened up Toti Rotiz's cut even more.

Torres moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Rotiz goes down! Can Torres finish him!?

Rotiz is rocked!
Torres controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Torres is looking to stand up but Rotiz won't let him.
Rotiz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rotiz closes the distance and clinches up with Torres, looking for a takedown. Rotiz pushes Torres against the cage but Torres circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rotiz misses with a wild body shot.
Rotiz misses the shot to the body.
As Rotiz backs away, Torres returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Rotiz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Torres pinned against the cage. Torres gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Torres swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Rotiz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The cut above Toti Rotiz's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
No joy there for Rotiz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Miguel Torres is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rotiz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Torres lands an overhand right.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Rotiz lands a nice hook to Torres's body. Torres takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rotiz dives in for a single leg takedown but Torres sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Rotiz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Torres counters with an inside leg kick.
Torres catches Rotiz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Toti Rotiz's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Torres lands with a cross.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Toti Rotiz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Our winner, Miguel Torres, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
In defeat, Toti Rotiz stepped up to the mic, saying 'I was hurt, my cat is sick, it's raining outside, heard someone fart in the arena... I should have never lost, I'm the real winner.'.
