And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklin Shark!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shark thuds his right hand into Peters's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Sol Peters has been cut.
Peters scores with a crisp jab that stopped Shark in his tracks.

It looks like Franklin Shark has been cut.
Shark avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shark looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Franklin Shark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Peters drops his hands momentarily and Shark takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Shark looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Shark avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shark connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Shark misses with a few strikes there.
It looked like Peters wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Peters is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Sol Peters's cut is getting worse.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Peters throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shark looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Peters ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Shark thuds a left hand into Peters's body.
Shark is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Peters throws out a loose jab but Shark uses good head movement to avoid it.
Peters takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Shark takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A telegraphed right hand from Peters misses the target.
Peters connects with a nice looking jab.
Peters fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Shark to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Shark looks to clinch but Peters throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Shark taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Sol Peters!
Sol Peters very nearly forgot to thank Bondi MMA 🏝️ amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
