The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Lalla drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kuronoa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lalla has Kuronoa in his guard.

Lalla has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kuronoa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Our spies down at at JAG Battle Gym inform us that Lalla has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Kuronoa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lalla swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lalla has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kuronoa is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lalla.

Kuronoa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lalla does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kuronoa maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Lalla could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kuronoa has cracked it and Lalla is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kuronoa!
