Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bugg Nevans (ranked 4078 p4p, 3222 weight class) and Jim Johnathan (ranked 517 p4p, 429 weight class). Nevans comes into the arena with Harley Gabbard - This Train Is Going To Nashville blaring out of the sound system. Jim Johnathan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jim Johnathan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnathan pushes Nevans up against the cage in a clinch.

Johnathan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nevans regains guard immediately.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnathan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nevans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnathan has managed to get both his arms back between Nevans's legs - danger averted.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnathan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nevans is looking to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johnathan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Nevans is rocked!
Johnathan lands with some strikes.
Oh Nevans is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnathan cracks Nevans with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Johnathan!
