Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronald Durall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Iago Pacheco!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durall misses the shot to the body.
Pacheco blocks a jab.
Nice defenses there by Pacheco.
The fighters circle momentarily. Durall darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pacheco. Durall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Durall appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Durall. That snapped Pacheco's head back.
Durall dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pacheco blocks a leg kick.
Durall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd cheers as Durall lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pacheco doesn't seem phased though.
Pacheco is rocked!
Pacheco thuds a left hand into Durall's body.
Durall misses with a wild body shot.
Pacheco throws a leg kick
and Durall counters with a stiff right hand.
Pacheco is still on wobbly legs! Can Durall finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pacheco is looking to land body kicks.
Durall circles away from the clinch attempt
and Durall makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A slow jab from Pacheco misses its intended target.
Crack! Durall connects with the perfect overhand right and Pacheco falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Durall!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ronald Durall!
Ronald Durall bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
