Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rick RollD (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aidan Fire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). RollD comes to the cage accompanied by The Rick Roll'D Song Of Hope. Fire comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Powerman 5000 - When Worlds Collide kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick RollD!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aidan Fire!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - RollD looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
RollD misses with a head kick.
RollD doesn't manage to clinch there - Fire circles away.
Fire sizes up RollD with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
RollD is looking to clinch.
Fire dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fire lands with a right hand.
RollD tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fire swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice shot lands for Fire.
Fire keeps the fight on the outside.
RollD wants to clinch.
Nice body punch from Fire.
Fire ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fire misses with a wild body shot.
Fire connects with a nice looking jab.

Fire changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. RollD looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fire tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Fire prevents RollD from escaping the position.
Fire is looking to take a break and control but RollD is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fire tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
RollD is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Fire looks gassed!

Fire is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. RollD can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fire with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Fire blocks RollD's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
RollD slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
RollD misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Fire is trying to control. RollD wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
RollD makes his way to full guard. A much better position for RollD.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fire trying to control the position from guard on top but RollD is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
RollD trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
RollD keeping full guard, as Fire tries to pass.
RollD throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
RollD wants to stand up but Fire is controlling him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fire tries to keep at a distance but RollD has taken the fight into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

RollD breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
RollD feints and then cracks Fire's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fire down.
RollD tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fire paws at him with a jab and circles away.

RollD moves into the clinch.
Fire has had enough of the clinch but RollD keeps him there for the moment.
RollD lands an elbow that stopped Fire in his tracks for a moment.

RollD breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
RollD tries to close the distance and clinch but Fire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
RollD is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rick RollD seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fire stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
RollD tries to clinch but Fire moves out of range.
Fire fails with the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
RollD tries to clinch up but Fire circles away and keeps his distance.
RollD throws a head kick that misses.
Fire shoots in looking for a takedown. RollD tries to sprawl out of it but Fire keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. RollD manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fire slips a jab from RollD.
RollD misses with a hook. Fire ducked under it nicely.
RollD fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fire swats away the attempt to clinch by RollD.
RollD wants to clinch.
RollD tries to clinch but Fire is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aidan Fire dominated that round.
That's time! RollD's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Fire misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
RollD tries to close the distance and clinch but Fire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
RollD wants to clinch up but Fire keeps it at a distance.
Fire thows a body shot but no joy.
RollD tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fire paws at him with a jab and circles away.
RollD wants to clinch.
RollD throws a head kick but Fire moves out of range.
RollD connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

RollD rushes Fire and presses him up against the cage.
RollD throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Fire blocks it with crossed arms.
RollD lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Fire is looking to break free of the clinch but RollD has double underhooks.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

RollD breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fire needs to keep his hands up - RollD had a free shot at his head there.
RollD steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fire.
Fire has a takedown stuffed.
RollD lands a big shot that drops Fire! Can he finish him?


Fire is rocked!
RollD postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Fire covers up, he's hurt! RollD keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from RollD and the ref steps in to end the fight! RollD can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick RollD!
