Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Iaspero Yalixqua (ranked 2244 p4p, 2476 weight class) and Hokuto Akira (ranked 289 p4p, 318 weight class). Yalixqua kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Stop This Flame. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yalixqua has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Average Judas Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Akira throws a big shot that misses.

Yalixqua uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Akira has time to react.

Yalixqua misses with an uppercut. Akira saw that one coming.
Akira looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Yalixqua tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Akira counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Yalixqua shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Yalixqua scores with a jab to the jaw.
Akira's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yalixqua connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Akira scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yalixqua throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Akira ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Akira connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Yalixqua's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Yalixqua - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!

A very excited looking Hokuto Akira made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
