This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 2 losses; Barthelemy Boganda! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Rowan Atkinson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Atkinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Boganda tries to sprawl out of it but Atkinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boganda manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Atkinson clinches up against the cage. Boganda has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Atkinson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Boganda (4) vs (0) Atkinson Atkinson is trying to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boganda is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Atkinson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Atkinson for a finish. Boganda working for the choke. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boganda is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Atkinson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Atkinson turns into Boganda and is now in his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Atkinson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boganda swivels though and keeps the full guard. Atkinson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Atkinson postures up.
Atkinson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boganda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Atkinson has managed to get both his arms back between Boganda's legs - danger averted. Atkinson advances to half guard. Boganda actively working from the bottom here. Boganda trying to control but Atkinson postures up.
Boganda has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Atkinson. Oh but Boganda has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Atkinson goes limp - he's gone! Boganda jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
