And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Matthew Bandini! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. No luck for Bandini with that takedown attempt. We've been hearing reports that Dirt has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Dirt moves into range and clinches up with Bandini.
Dirt gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Dirt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dirt trying to control the position from guard on top but Bandini is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dirt content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bandini has locked up a guillotine! Bandini's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Dirt is holding on here and Bandini must be using up a lot of energy. Dirt has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bandini gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
