Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Korolev (ranked 2197 p4p, 3094 weight class) and Robert Cap (ranked 307 p4p, 404 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cap defending well as Korolev loads up on a big left hand.
Korolev wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Korolev swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cap.
A slow jab from Korolev misses its intended target.
Cap tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cap shoots in and drives through. Korolev sprawls well.
Korolev misses with a two punch combination.
Korolev blocks a jab.
Korolev missing with a left hand there. Cap was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Korolev looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Korolev is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cap throws a right and a left that both miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Korolev throws the left hand but Cap avoids the punch easily.

It looks like Alexander Korolev has been cut.

Cap shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Korolev's guard.
Korolev seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cap tries to clinch up but Korolev circles away and keeps his distance.

Despite the aggression on Cap's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Korolev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cap swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cap avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Korolev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cap manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Korolev throws out a loose jab but Cap uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cap lands with a hook. Korolev tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Korolev misses with a series of wild punches.
Korolev throws a looping overhand right but Cap ducks down to avoid it.

Cap is looking to clinch.
Korolev appears to be looking for a big counter.
Cap takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Cap throws a good cross that connects.
Korolev throws a hook to the side of Cap's head but Cap sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Korolev misses with a hook. Cap ducked under it nicely.
Cap bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Korolev circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Cap to the canvas! Cap doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Korolev keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
