Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Omer Demirci (ranked 811 p4p, 1691 weight class) and Jack Phillips (ranked 123 p4p, 255 weight class). Jack Phillips told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Omer Demirci!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Omer Demirci has been cut.
Demirci throws a shot to the body.
Demirci keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Phillips.
Demirci misses with a right hand

and Phillips counters with a crisp right hand that drops Demirci! Phillips lets Demirci back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Demirci throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Demirci fails with the takedown.
Phillips keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Phillips lands with an overhand left.

Omer Demirci's cut is getting worse.
Phillips scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Demirci fails with a takedown attempt.
Demirci fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Phillips manages to avoid it.
Demirci looks to land a left hand but Phillips moved out of range nicely.

Phillips drops Demirci with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Demirci looks back up at him and smiles so Phillips waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Demirci is rocked!
Phillips has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Phillips avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Phillips appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Demirci misses with a straight left.
Demirci changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Phillips tries to avoid it but Demirci manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Phillips to the ground. Phillips escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Omer Demirci. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Phillips throws a monster overhand right that drops Demirci! Phillips follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
