Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Hall (ranked 1616 p4p, 1717 weight class) and Stephen Steve (ranked 221 p4p, 234 weight class). Hall comes to the cage accompanied by Pinball Wizard. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralph Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stephen Steve! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Steve misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hall.
Hall with a lazy takedown attempt and Steve counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hall's knee momentarily. Hall is trying hard to land a takedown here. Steve sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Steve works Hall's body with a nice hook. Steve throws an overhand right that lands on Hall's shoulder, as Hall tries to avoid the shot. Steve fails with an attempt to clinch.
Steve looks to land a right hand but Hall moved out of range. Hall scores with a hook to the body. Steve takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Hall misses with a body shot.

Steve looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hall misses with a hook. Steve ducked under it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hall fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ralph Hall. That's going to take a lot out of him. A big right from Steve misses. Hall has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steve. Hall slips a jab from Steve. Hall shoots in for a takedown but Steve shows good takedown defense. Steve feints a counter leg kick. Steve takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Steve throws the left hand but Hall avoids the punch easily. Hall checks a leg kick. Steve just misses with a punch to the body.
Steve swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hall attempts a counter takedown but Steve avoids it well and moves away. The fighters circling - Hall throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Steve throws a counter combo. Hall fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hall misses with a shot to the body and Hall takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hall fails in his attempt to clinch. Ralph Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steve thuds his right hand into Hall's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Hall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall scores with a jab to the body. Steve tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hall scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Steve moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A left lands for Steve. Steve looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Hall connects with a right hand. Steve shakes it off. Hall tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Steve manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Steve throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Hall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Steve won't be happy with that. Hall has an Americana. Steve didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hall is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hall hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ralph Hall! Ralph Hall was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
