The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapi goes for a double leg but John avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as John continues to drive forward.
A slow jab from John misses its intended target.
Chris John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
John lands the left hand.

It looks like Wala Sapi has been cut.
John throws a good cross that connects.
John looks to throw the jab but Sapi is out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by John as he connects with a hook.
John scores with a body shot.
John lands a jab to the nose.
Sapi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Sapi is rocked!
John measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Sapi! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
