Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kai Polinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Kosolovskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kai Polinsky could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vlad Kosolovskis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kai Polinsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Kosolovskis! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kosolovskis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kosolovskis tries to clinch up but Polinsky circles away and keeps his distance. Polinsky shoots for a takedown but Kosolovskis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kosolovskis tries to bum rush Polinsky with a series of wild strikes but Polinsky uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Polinsky avoids a punch combination nicely.
Polinsky tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kosolovskis swivels and escapes. Polinsky shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Polinsky showed some decent athleticism there. Kosolovskis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Polinsky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kosolovskis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Polinsky is working away from the top position though. Kosolovskis is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Polinsky pulls his head out easily. Kosolovskis tries to kick Polinsky off but Polinsky keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Polinsky is trying to control the action in half guard but Kosolovskis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kosolovskis can do anything to dispel that myth. Kosolovskis is looking for a sweep. Polinsky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Polinsky passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Polinsky. Polinsky manages to capitalize on a mistake by Kosolovskis to take his back! Polinsky has the hooks in. Kosolovskis is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Kosolovskis is trying to stand back up. Kosolovskis looks gassed! Despite being in a bad position, Kosolovskis is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts. Kosolovskis looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Kosolovskis is trying to get back to his feet but Polinsky has full control of the position and if anything, Kosolovskis has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Polinsky is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Kosolovskis has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Polinsky has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Kosolovskis taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Polinsky doesn't care though - he's delighted!
