Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Royal Savage! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joshi Dell! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dell. That's going to slow Savage down. Decent striking displayed by Savage there. Dell getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Savage throws a poor cross that misses
and Dell counters with a stiff right hand. Nice cross by Dell. Savage throws a sloppy body shot
and Dell counters with a nice low kick that buckles Savage's knee momentarily. Dell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Savage moves away. Dell throws a jab but it's blocked by Savage. Dell just misses with a punch to the body.
The Royal Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dell slips a straight right by Savage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Savage connects with a right hand. Dell shakes it off. Savage lands with a nice body punch. Savage connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Dell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Savage counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dell looks winded! Savage cracks Dell with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Dell falls to his knees and Savage doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Royal Savage! The Royal Savage retains his lightweight title! The Royal Savage seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
