Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zack Rize (ranked 301 p4p, 880 weight class) and Antun Simunic (ranked 42 p4p, 122 weight class). Rize comes to the cage accompanied by Luke Combs - When It Rains It Pours. Simunic has chosen Monster as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Rize!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antun Simunic!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rize connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A punch lands to the side of Rize 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Simunic staying out of range there.
Simunic scores with a body shot.
Simunic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rize has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Grunt in the buildup to the fight.
Rize walks into a jab.
Simunic scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rize doesn't seem bothered though.
Simunic misses with a low kick.
Simunic keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Simunic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A quick step to the side and Rize tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Simunic throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Rize feints and then cracks Simunic's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Simunic down.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rize lands a right hook to the body.
Rize dodges the punch combination from Simunic.
Jab, jab by Rize - just one landing.
Rize throws a hook but Simunic blocks it.
Simunic takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Simunic paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rize is looking to land body kicks.
Simunic slips a jab and a cross from Rize.
Simunic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Simunic misses with an uppercut. Rize saw that one coming.
Simunic misses with a looping left.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rize. Simunic does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rize does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Simunic lands a big head kick that sends Rize tumbling to the mat! Simunic takes a step backwards and waves Rize back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Rize is rocked!
Simunic closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rize! Simunic dives in looking to finish! Rize is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antun Simunic!
An out of breath Antun Simunic thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
