Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenjiro Tokugawa (ranked 22818 p4p, 5383 weight class) and Bobby Bilkington (ranked 543 p4p, 510 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenjiro Tokugawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Bilkington!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurstrm and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tokugawa moves into range and clinches up with Bilkington.
Bilkington tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tokugawa smiles and moves away.
Tokugawa misses with a body shot.
Tokugawa throws a head kick but Bilkington moves out of range.
Tokugawa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bilkington.
Tokugawa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bilkington shoots in but no luck this time.
Bilkington slips a straight right by Tokugawa.
Tokugawa throws a leg kick that misses.
Tokugawa tests Bilkington's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kenjiro Tokugawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bilkington throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Tokugawa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tokugawa fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bilkington checks it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bilkington misses with a takedown attempt - Tokugawa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bilkington shoots in looking for a takedown but Tokugawa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bilkington's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Tokugawa takes the fight into the clinch.
Bilkington trying to control the position but instead, Tokugawa has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bilkington into the cage.
Bilkington wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tokugawa pushes Bilkington back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Tokugawa misses with a knee to the head.
I was talking to Tokugawa's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Bilkington is trying to drag Tokugawa to the mat but Tokugawa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Tokugawa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tokugawa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tokugawa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bilkington gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bilkington decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tokugawa, up you get!
Tokugawa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tokugawa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bilkington can do to turn this around?
Tokugawa swings for the body but Bilkington moves out of range.
Tokugawa misses with an uppercut.

Bilkington feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bilkington stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tokugawa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tokugawa fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bilkington just manages to avoid it.

Tokugawa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tokugawa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tokugawa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Tokugawa will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Well Tokugawa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
