This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Mikie Lee! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 3 losses; Don Johns!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Johns is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
As Johns tries to get set, Lee tries to push him back and clinch up but Johns manages to avoid the attempt.
Lee clinches up against the cage.
Johns jumps guard.
Lee wants to control from the top but Johns keeps moving.
Johns trying to keep a closed guard but Lee is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johns has his hands on Lee's head, controlling the position.
Johns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee wants to control from the top but Johns keeps moving.
Johns escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Johns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johns has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lee should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Johns has tightened it up now! Lee should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
