The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Masters is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bomstaerk trying to control the position from guard on top but Masters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bomstaerk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Masters looking for a sweep. Not yet Masters, not yet.

Masters working for a triangle but Bomstaerk defends it easily.
Masters can't keep his opponent in guard - Bomstaerk advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bomstaerk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Masters keeps working.
Masters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bomstaerk wants to free his trapped foot but Masters is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Masters stops Bomstaerk from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Bomstaerk seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Masters is holding on tight.

Bomstaerk with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Bomstaerk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Masters is looking to escape.

Bomstaerk wants to control but Masters has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bomstaerk working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Masters wants to get back to full guard.

Bomstaerk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Masters sees it coming and defends easily.
Masters moves into full guard.
Bomstaerk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bomstaerk has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Masters to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bomstaerk is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Masters pulls down on the head and he's put Bomstaerk to sleep! This one is all over!
