Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sage Rochester (ranked 3739 p4p, 3428 weight class) and Horus Egyptian (ranked 414 p4p, 391 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sage Rochester! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Horus Egyptian! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Egyptian slaps away a takedown attempt from Rochester, before circling back to the center of the mat. A jab from Egyptian finds it's way through Rochester's defenses. No luck for Rochester with that takedown attempt. Egyptian moves into range and connects with a jab. Egyptian throws a hook but Rochester blocks it. Rochester with a lazy takedown attempt and Egyptian cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sage Rochester. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Egyptian keeps the fight on the outside. Egyptian swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Rochester swings for the body but Egyptian moves out of range.
Egyptian avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Rochester is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rochester shoots in but Egyptian avoids the takedown attempt easily. Horus Egyptian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rochester throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Egyptian sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rochester shoots in and drives through. Egyptian sprawls well. Egyptian only half commits to the counter leg kick. Egyptian connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Rochester shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Egyptian but Egyptian pushes him off and we're back to square one. Egyptian uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rochester.
Rochester shoots in looking for a takedown. Egyptian tries to sprawl out of it but Rochester keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Egyptian manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Egyptian looks like he wants to counter punch here. Rochester misses with a looping left. Rochester thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rochester checks a leg kick. Rochester swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Egyptian was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Rochester misses with a takedown and Egyptian counters with a lovely shot to the body. Egyptian throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rochester scores with a nice head shot. Egyptian misses with a head kick.
Rochester doesn't manage to clinch there - Egyptian circles away.
Egyptian bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rochester throws a combination that misses and Egyptian counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rochester's knee momentarily. Egyptian misses the jab. Rochester fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rochester looks to land a right hand but Egyptian moved out of range. Rochester misses with a wild body shot. The fighters circling - Rochester throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Egyptian drives through and clinches with Rochester against the cage.
Rochester can't find room to land a body shot as Egyptian controls the action.
Rochester lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Egyptian backwards. A shot in the inside from Rochester. Rochester fails to pull guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rochester blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rochester lands a nice uppercut. Egyptian taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Rochester pulls guard effortlessly. Egyptian postures up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Egyptian controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rochester avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rochester escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Egyptian gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rochester pulls Egyptian in to control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Horus Egyptian dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Rochester thows a left - swing and a miss! Egyptian throws a nice outside leg kick. Egyptian ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rochester walks into a left hand. Rochester wants to land a leg kick but Egyptian is out of range. Rochester scores with a jab. Rochester looks for a takedown but Egyptian sprawls well. Rochester tries for a takedown but Egyptian sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rochester shoots in looking for a takedown but Egyptian manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rochester's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Egyptian throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rochester fails with the takedown and Egyptian counters with an outside leg kick.

Egyptian swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Sage Rochester seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rochester ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Egyptian moves away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Egyptian! But no joy. Rochester slips under a jab from Egyptian. Rochester shoots and misses and Egyptian connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rochester tries to clinch up. Egyptian appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Rochester gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Egyptian to counter with a crisp jab. Rochester tries for a takedown but Egyptian circles away easily and Egyptian counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rochester keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Egyptian fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rochester checks it well. Rochester moves out of range of the leg kick from Egyptian. Rochester throws a lazy right hand but Egyptian sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Rochester blocks a jab. Rochester connects with a jab. Rochester ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Egyptian moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rochester checks a leg kick. Egyptian stuffs the takedown attempt from Rochester. Rochester gets slowly back to his feet. Rochester dips to his left and cracks Egyptian with an uppercut! Egyptian steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rochester. Egyptian avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rochester fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A clash of legs there as Rochester blocks the low kick. Horus Egyptian seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nice takedown defense from Egyptian. No joy for Rochester on that attempt. Egyptian only half commits to the counter leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rochester shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Egyptian as he jumps to the side. Rochester misses with a straight right. Egyptian flicks out a counter leg kick but Rochester steps away. Egyptian throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rochester sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rochester misses with a takedown attempt - Egyptian sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A little jabbing left from Egyptian on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rochester is trying to pull guard but Egyptian has him pressed against the cage. Egyptian breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jab, jab by Rochester - just one landing. Egyptian throws a hook but Rochester avoids it easily. Rochester closes the distance and clinches. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Horus Egyptian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Rochester stalks Egyptian and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Egyptian's face. Egyptian staggers backwards, shaken. Rochester will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Egyptian rushes Rochester and presses him up against the cage. Egyptian misses with a knee strike.
Egyptian is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rochester is defending well for now. Rochester blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rochester fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Rochester has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Egyptian uses from the top position. Rochester not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Egyptian controlling from the top position. Rochester looking to control.
Rochester is really struggling to control Egyptian but he's trying to hold on to the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Egyptian stopping the sweep attempt from Rochester. Egyptian looking to sit in guard and control but Rochester gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rochester controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Egyptian bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rochester's guard. Egyptian content to stall in guard here. Rochester working a defensive guard but Egyptian passes into half guard.
Rochester won't allow Egyptian to pass to mount. Rochester actively working from the bottom here. Egyptian content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Egyptian's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rochester has a hand on Egyptian's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Egyptian takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Rochester slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Rochester looking for submissions off his back. Egyptian trying to pass the guard but Rochester defending well. Horus Egyptian is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Egyptian is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that's the end of the fight! Horus Egyptian comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Egyptian has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
