Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Point (ranked 546 p4p, 544 weight class) and Tommy Gavin (ranked 64 p4p, 63 weight class). Point's entrance music is Roots Reggae Music. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gavin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Point moves away.
Point is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Gavin.
Gavin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gavin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tommy Gavin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Point connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gavin momentarily.

The referee is keeping an eye on Gavin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

A nice right hand lands inside from Gavin.

Gavin tries to work over Point's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Point will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gavin up against the cage.

Gavin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Point doesn't manage to clinch there - Gavin circles away.

Gavin flicks out a counter leg kick but Point steps away.

Gavin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Point was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That kick from Gavin tenderised Point's leg. Point is trying to keep his angry face on.

Gavin tests Point's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Gavin throws a leg kick which misses Point's front leg but catches the back leg as Point tries to avoid it.
Gavin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Point moves away.
Gavin lands a nice leg kick that just misses Point's sensitive parts.
Point loads up on a big right hand but Gavin slips the punch.
Point is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Point checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Point swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tommy Gavin will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Gavin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gavin takes a swing at Point's ribcage but misses.

and Point scores with a counter punch that sends Gavin to the canvas! Point smells blood - he's punishing Gavin with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Gavin has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
