Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Corassa (ranked 133 p4p, 276 weight class) and Obi Wan Kenobi (ranked 18 p4p, 34 weight class). Obi Wan Kenobi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Eduardo Corassa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 30 - 17 - 5, fighting out of Sydney, Obi Wan Kenobi! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenobi bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Some bone on bone action there as Kenobi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Corassa has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kenobi. Corassa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kenobi manages to avoid it. Corassa throws a series of punches but Kenobi moves out of range. Kenobi is trying to counter with his kicks. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kenobi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Corassa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Corassa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kenobi just misses with a punch to the body.
Kenobi tries to clinch but Corassa is having none of it. It looked like Corassa wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Corassa wants to slow Kenobi down by chopping away at his legs. Kenobi thows a body kick. Corassa tries to catch it but that hurt him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corassa circles away from the clinch attempt letting Corassa counter with a right hand.
It looks like Obi Wan Kenobi has been cut. Kenobi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Corassa. Corassa moves out of range of the body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenobi tries to score with a low kick but Corassa moves his leg out of the way. Kenobi moves into range and clinches up with Corassa. Corassa goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kenobi prevents a body shot from Corassa. Corassa takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Eduardo Corassa has been cut. Kenobi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Corassa backwards. Corassa lands a body punch in the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Corassa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Corassa. Kenobi throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Corassa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Come on Kenobi - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Kenobi creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Kenobi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Corassa lands with a right to the head. Corassa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Corassa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kenobi misses with a jab to the body
and Corassa counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kenobi misses with a body punch
and Corassa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Obi Wan Kenobi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kenobi throws a leg kick and Corassa counters with a good, hard body kick but Kenobi shrugs it off. Kenobi misses with a looping right. Kenobi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kenobi. Corassa does a little dance to reset his feet. Corassa misses with a body shot.
Kenobi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Corassa on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Corassa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kenobi tries to score with a low kick but Corassa moves his leg out of the way. Corassa lands a high kick!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Corassa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kenobi. Kenobi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Corassa. That did some damage! Kenobi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Corassa moves away. A counter left hand to the body from Corassa misses its target. Kenobi moves to clinch but Corassa breaks away and Corassa counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kenobi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Corassa checks it well. Corassa was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Corassa thumps Kenobi with a low kick. Corassa misses with a leg kick. Corassa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kenobi. Kenobi throws a body kick that misses and Corassa counters with a slapping leg kick. Nice defenses there by Kenobi. Kenobi wants to counter the offense by Corassa and move into the clinch position. Kenobi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Corassa checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Kenobi misses and Corassa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Corassa checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Kenobi throws a jab but it's blocked by Corassa. Kenobi misses with a double jab.
Kenobi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kenobi throws a leg kick that is checked and Corassa counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kenobi's knee momentarily. A nice leg kick from Kenobi, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kenobi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kenobi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Corassa looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Kenobi throws a good cross that connects.
Corassa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kenobi throws a low kick, looking for Corassa's leg but Corassa calmly moves out of range. Corassa jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Eduardo Corassa will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Kenobi misses with a looping right. Corassa scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kenobi in his tracks. Kenobi scores with a nice right hand.
Kenobi looks for the body kick but Corassa saw that one coming. Corassa has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kenobi. Kenobi with a nice cross. A shot to the body from Kenobi misses and Corassa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kenobi is rocked! Kenobi throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Corassa seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Kenobi tries to land a front kick but Corassa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Corassa fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kenobi just manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corassa ducks under a wild hook from Kenobi. Kenobi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kenobi throws a solid leg kick but Corassa takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kenobi. Corassa tried to counter with a leg kick but Kenobi avoided it. Corassa misses with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corassa moves out of range of the strikes. Kenobi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kenobi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Corassa looks to land a left hand but Kenobi moved out of range nicely. Corassa on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Kenobi misses with a body kick. Kenobi misses with a body shot
and Corassa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That has opened up Obi Wan Kenobi's cut even more. Corassa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Kenobi chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kenobi delivers a nice body kick. Kenobi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Corassa. Corassa checks a leg kick. Kenobi throws a leg kick but Corassa sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenobi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Corassa is able to avoid easily. Kenobi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Corassa swings for the body but Kenobi moves out of range.
Kenobi misses with a low kick. Kenobi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Corassa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kenobi blocks a low kick nicely. Kenobi throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Corassa counters with a stiff right hand. Obi Wan Kenobi seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kenobi lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Kenobi throws a wild body kick that Corassa sees coming a mile off. Corassa throwing a counter right hand but Kenobi manages to avoid it. Kenobi misses with a looping left. An attempted straight right counter from Corassa misses the target. Kenobi cracks Corassa with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corassa takes one on the button. Corassa on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kenobi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Corassa counters with a straight right hand. Kenobi is still on wobbly legs! Can Corassa finish him? Corassa moves forwards but Kenobi connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kenobi seems to have recovered his senses. Corassa has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Corassa there as he acknowledges the shot. Kenobi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kenobi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A good leg kick by Kenobi. Corassa loads up on a big right hand but Kenobi slips the punch. Kenobi wants to clinch and Corassa counters with a huge left! Kenobi is in big trouble! He's backing up but Corassa isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Kenobi from any more damage. A dominating finish by Corassa!
