Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Techno Viking (ranked 1429 p4p, 1214 weight class) and Thoth Chontamenti (ranked 197 p4p, 171 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Techno Viking! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thoth Chontamenti! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Viking moves into the clinch. Viking blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Chontamenti misses with a hook to the ribs.
Viking using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Chontamenti has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Chontamenti is trying to drag Viking to the mat but Viking just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Viking blocks a body shot from Chontamenti. Viking lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Chontamenti backwards.
It looks like Thoth Chontamenti has been cut. Chontamenti's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Viking misses with the head strike.
Viking prevents a body shot from Chontamenti. Viking prevents the takedown attempt.
Viking lands a body shot in the clinch.
Viking lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Chontamenti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice uppercut there from Viking. Chontamenti throws a jab but it's blocked by Viking. Viking misses the jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chontamenti has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Viking throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chontamenti sees it coming and avoids it easily. Viking swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Viking. Chontamenti cracks Viking with an open hand slap. Chontamenti blocks a head kick by Viking.

and Chontamenti connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Viking knocks Chontamenti to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chontamenti tries to get back to half guard but can't. Viking stands up and we're back to a striking position. Viking missing with a left hand there. Chontamenti was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Chontamenti appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Viking turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Chontamenti throws a big shot that misses. Viking uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chontamenti.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Chontamenti - just one landing. Viking misses with an uppercut
and Chontamenti counters with a right hand from hell and Viking is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thoth Chontamenti! During a confident post fight interview, Thoth Chontamenti thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
