Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spinning Fire (ranked 953 p4p, 787 weight class) and Parta Matti (ranked 135 p4p, 109 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spinning Fire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Parta Matti!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matti throws a hook to the side of Fire's head but Fire sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fire feinted with a counter takedown.
Matti misses with an uppercut. Fire saw that one coming.
Fire tries to counter with a takedown but Matti is quick to defend against it.
Matti looks to land a combination but Fire avoids it well.
Fire drops down looking for a counter takedown but Matti sprawls and moves away.
Matti misses with a looping right.
Fire changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Matti missing with a left hand there. Fire was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Matti throws a jab but it's blocked by Fire.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fire drops down looking for a counter takedown but Matti sprawls and moves away.

Let's hope that Matti has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

I was talking to Fire's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Matti's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
