The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Michel swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Michel was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Miranda.
The fighters circling - Michel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Miranda misses with a leg kick
and Michel counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Miranda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Michel misses with a hook.
Miranda tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Michel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It looked like Michel wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Michel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Davi Miranda has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Michel. Miranda does a little dance to reset his feet.

Miranda drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Michel defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Michel makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Miranda bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Miranda was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Miranda uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Michel.

Michel drops Miranda with a huge uppercut! Miranda drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Michel is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
