Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 24344 p4p, 24858 weight class) and Helen Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
No luck for Salvacion with that takedown attempt.
Amiga thinks about countering with a head kick.
Salvacion shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Amiga defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion stuffs the takedown attempt from Amiga. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet.
Salvacion is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Salvacion shoots in and drives through. Amiga sprawls well.
Amiga quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Kugus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helen Salvacion.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amiga sprawls well. Amiga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Salvacion gets slowly back to his feet.

Salvacion changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Amiga looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Amiga isn't going anywhere.
Amiga is trying to control Salvacion's posture but Salvacion avoids it.
What's Amiga going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Amiga sneaks back into half guard.
Amiga is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Amiga wants to control but Salvacion is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Amiga tries for a takedown but Salvacion circles away easily
and Salvacion counters with a nice kick to the body.

Salvacion gets the takedown into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amiga is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Salvacion's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Amiga is trying to get back to full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Salvacion shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Amiga's guard.
Salvacion is standing up over Amiga. Amiga looks to escape but Salvacion dives into side control.

Amiga is looking for a sweep.

Amiga is being controlled here.
Amiga wants to control but Salvacion postures up.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Salvacion controlling from side mount.
Salvacion is continuing to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ground and pound from Salvacion seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Salvacion gets a double leg takedown into Amiga's guard.
Amiga pulls Salvacion in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salvacion slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Amiga wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Salvacion controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Amiga is pulling down on Salvacion's head. It's preventing any offense from Salvacion, at least for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Helen Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Amiga wants to sweep but no luck.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Salvacion has a takedown stuffed.
A counter left hand to the body from Amiga misses its target.
Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Salvacion drives through with a takedown into guard.
Amiga is trying to keep Salvacion in close.
Amiga can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Salvacion controls the pace.
Salvacion loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Salvacion throws a big right hand that misses.

Amiga looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Salvacion controlling from the top position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kugus Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Helen Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Amiga pulls Salvacion in close to prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Helen Salvacion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
