Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Braddock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Tate Iii!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate Iii lands with a good body shot.
Braddock throws a series of punches but Tate Iii avoids them all with ease.
Braddock misses with the combination.
Tate Iii throws a counter combo.
Braddock takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like James Braddock has been cut.
Braddock misses with a looping left.
Braddock shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tate Iii eats them both and turns towards Braddock to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Braddock throws a nice looking combination but Tate Iii bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tate Iii lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Braddock circles away quickly and effectively.
A quick step to the side and Braddock tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tate Iii lands the left hand.
Tate Iii throws a body shot but no joy.
Tate Iii has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Braddock falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tate Iii counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tate Iii fails to land with a series of punches.
Tate Iii lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Braddock circles away quickly and effectively.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Braddock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tate Iii.
Braddock fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Braddock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tate Iii was well out of range. Poor timing from Braddock.
Tate Iii throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Braddock sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tate Iii throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Braddock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Braddock misses the shot to the body.
Tate Iii is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Tate Iii throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tate Iii fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Braddock manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Braddock. Tate Iii does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tate Iii wants to counter the offense by Braddock and move into the clinch position.
Tate Iii lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Braddock at a distance.
Braddock definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Braddock dodges the punch combination from Tate Iii.

Tate Iii throws a one two combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tate Iii slips a straight right by Braddock.
Braddock stalks Tate Iii and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tate Iii's face. Tate Iii staggers backwards, shaken.
Tate Iii just misses with a punch to the body.
Braddock tries to counter by clinching up but Tate Iii breaks away and moves out of range.
Tate Iii scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Braddock is rocked!

James Braddock's cut is getting worse.
Tate Iii lands a right and a left and another right! Braddock goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Curtis Tate Iii!
