PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sortek Redfist (ranked 22206 p4p, 5568 weight class) and Zander Ford (ranked 619 p4p, 552 weight class). Redfist's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Earl Sweatshirt-Chum. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ford's choice of entrance music: THE KING IS HERE. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Redfist.
Redfist takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ford misses with a straight right.
Redfist scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Redfist lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ford on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ford does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Redfist thuds a left hand into Ford's body.
Ford should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A low kick from Ford misses
and Redfist counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ford thinking.
Redfist definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Redfist throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ford on the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Redfist counters with a straight right hand.
Redfist blocks a jab.
It looked like Redfist wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ford throws a leg kick
and Redfist counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

A left lands for Redfist.
Redfist avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ford looks winded!
Redfist turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ford takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ford throws an off balance right hand
and Redfist counters with a thumping low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Redfist catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Ford stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Ford walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Redfist punishes Ford's body with a nice straight punch.
Redfist lands a slapping body shot.

Redfist connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Ford onto his butt! Ford bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

Ford is rocked!

Redfist cracks Ford with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Ford is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Ford is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
Ford is still on wobbly legs! Can Redfist finish him?
Ford leaves his chin hanging out and Redfist seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Ford crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
