Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Kho (ranked 4271 p4p, 3048 weight class) and Chimzat Khamaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Kho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chimzat Khamaev!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khamaev fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kho sprawls well initially but Khamaev persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Khamaev is thwarting Kho's attempts to control the position.
Kho on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khamaev wants to control but Kho is keeping him busy.
Kho wants to get back to full guard but Khamaev has passed into side control.
Khamaev scores with punches from side control.
Kho is trying to control Khamaev's posture but Khamaev avoids it.

Kho takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

I really don't envy Khamaev right now.

Khamaev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kho's guard.

Khamaev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Khamaev drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kho dives on top into guard.

Khamaev throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kho was covering up waiting for the punch and Khamaev finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Khamaev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kho manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Khamaev has Kho in his guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Khamaev can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Khamaev is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Khamaev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kho with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Khamaev is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kho defends it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Khamaev is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kho sees it coming and defends easily.

Chimzat Khamaev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Khamaev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kho on his heels. He'll look to pass Kho's guard now, I'm sure.
Kho wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Khamaev manages to pass to side control.

Kho is looking for a sweep. Khamaev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Khamaev slips a nice elbow through Kho's hands, connecting with Kho's forehead.

Khamaev is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kho defends it well.
Khamaev has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Khamaev has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kho's face.

Khamaev has isolated one of Kho's arms. Kho looking to fight him off but Khamaev twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
