Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24905 p4p, 24811 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buktot shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Buktot showed some decent athleticism there. Bitok is looking for a sweep. Buktot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bitok keeps control of the position for the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Buktot is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot content to control rather than advance. Buktot has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bitok changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Buktot looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bitok trying to control the action but Buktot is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bitok shoots in but no luck this time. Buktot is looking to counter with a body kick. Buktot decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bitok tries to get to full guard but Buktot has control of the leg. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Buktot manages to pass to mount!

Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Buktot shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bitok thinks about the counter body kick. Buktot fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bitok to the ground. Buktot is now in Bitok's guard. Bitok pulls Buktot in to control the position. Bitok is looking for a triangle but Buktot pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot being controlled here momentarily. Buktot trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Bitok is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buktot throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bitok was covering up waiting for the punch and Buktot finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buktot is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Bitok has control of Buktot's left arm, preventing Buktot from doing any damage. Buktot postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buktot fails to land the takedown. Buktot dives in and grabs Bitok's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bitok pushes down on Buktot's head and hops out. Bitok tries to counter with a clinch but Buktot shakes him off and moves away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Horrible takedown attempt by Bitok or perhaps it was just good defense by Buktot, which made it look bad. Buktot throws a big counter combination but Bitok scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Bitok dives in and grabs Buktot's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buktot pushes down on Bitok's head and hops out. Bitok fails with the takedown. As Bitok looks to move away, Buktot throws a big counter combo but Bitok just gets out of the way. Bitok dives in for a single leg takedown but Buktot sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Buktot half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buktot closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bitok's guard.

Bitok shoots in looking for a takedown but Buktot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bitok's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Buktot seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Bitok shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bitok was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bitok working the strikes but Buktot uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Bitok is taking a breather. Buktot says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bitok wants to take a breather but Buktot is having none of it. Kulata Bitok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dawindi Buktot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot trying to control from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Dawindi Buktot showed his dominance in that final round. Well Buktot has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
