Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Chodnovski (ranked 4320 p4p, 6092 weight class) and Lazar Petrovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Chodnovski could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lazar Petrovic's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivan Chodnovski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Lazar Petrovic! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrovic drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Chodnovski lands with an uppercut that bounces Petrovic off the cage and back into range. Petrovic shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Petrovic showed some decent athleticism there. Petrovic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Petrovic working over Chodnovski with some ground and pound. Chodnovski looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Petrovic lands with a punch from half guard. Petrovic not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrovic is looking to advance position but Chodnovski won't allow it. Chodnovski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Petrovic passes to side control. Petrovic controls the position. Petrovic working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Petrovic remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Petrovic lands a few punches from side control. An elbow from Petrovic crashes against the mat.
Chodnovski wants to control but Petrovic postures up. Petrovic takes a little break here. Chodnovski wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrovic throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Petrovic creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Chodnovski sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Petrovic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chodnovski managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Petrovic.
Petrovic takes a little break here. Chodnovski wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Petrovic moves into range and clinches up with Chodnovski. Petrovic has Chodnovski pressed against the cage, preventing Chodnovski from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Chodnovski scores with a shoulder strike. Chodnovski lands a right hand. Chodnovski is pressed up against the cage. Petrovic has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chodnovski down to the mat. Chodnovski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Chodnovski connects with a crisp jab. Ivan Chodnovski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Petrovic on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Petrovic shoots for a double leg takedown but Chodnovski sprawls well. He's pushed Petrovic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Petrovic looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Petrovic wants to slow Chodnovski down by chopping away at his legs. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lazar Petrovic will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Petrovic takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Chodnovski dips to his left and cracks Petrovic with an uppercut! Chodnovski avoids the body shot from Petrovic.
Petrovic takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Petrovic avoids a punch combination nicely.
Petrovic shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chodnovski defends it nicely. Chodnovski is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Chodnovski scores with the left hand. Petrovic knows he should have avoided that one. Chodnovski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chodnovski with a body punch. A glancing blow. Jab by Chodnovski. Good exchange - Chodnovski coming out on top.
Petrovic is rocked! Petrovic needs to keep his hands up - Chodnovski had a free shot at his head there. Petrovic is still on wobbly legs! Can Chodnovski finish him? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chodnovski connects with a good right hand that stumbles Petrovic. Petrovic circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chodnovski darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Chodnovski is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Petrovic misses with a takedown attempt - Chodnovski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Petrovic has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Chodnovski finds it's way round the side to connect with Petrovic's head. Petrovic takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Petrovic decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Petrovic seems to have recovered his senses. Petrovic takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Let's hope that Petrovic has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Petrovic thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chodnovski's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrovic is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Chodnovski is trying to get back to full guard. Petrovic lands with a punch from half guard. Petrovic not doing much here.
Petrovic thows a huge punch but Chodnovski dodges it nicely.
Chodnovski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petrovic on the ground.

Petrovic decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Petrovic fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ivan Chodnovski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lazar Petrovic. Chodnovski throws a good cross that connects.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Petrovic takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Petrovic tries to clinch up but Chodnovski circles away and keeps his distance. Petrovic ducks under a wild hook from Chodnovski. Petrovic walks into a straight right hand from Chodnovski. Chodnovski throws a series of punches but Petrovic moves out of range. Petrovic looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Chodnovski clobbers Petrovic with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Petrovic closes the distance and clinches. Chodnovski softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Petrovic breaks the clinch.
A swing and a miss from Chodnovski. Petrovic slips under a jab from Chodnovski. Chodnovski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Petrovic can do to turn this around? Petrovic avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Chodnovski lands an overhand right. Chodnovski looks to land a right hand but Petrovic moved out of range. Ivan Chodnovski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chodnovski throws a good cross that connects.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Chodnovski dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Chodnovski connects with a single shot there. Petrovic swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Petrovic takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Petrovic drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Petrovic moves away from the strike by Chodnovski. Nice jab there from Chodnovski. Chodnovski throws a shot from downtown. Petrovic moves away and avoids it. Good standup being displayed there by Chodnovski as he connects with a hook. Chodnovski throws a jab but it's blocked by Petrovic. Petrovic slips under a jab. Petrovic shoots in looking for a takedown but Chodnovski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Petrovic's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Petrovic tries to move into range but Chodnovski moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A head kick misses from Petrovic. Nice uppercut there from Chodnovski. Petrovic has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chodnovski throws a series of strikes that have Petrovic backpedaling.
Chodnovski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Petrovic will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ivan Chodnovski is winning the standup battle so far. A punch combination from Petrovic misses. Petrovic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Petrovic tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. The fighters circle momentarily. Chodnovski darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Petrovic doesn't manage to clinch there - Chodnovski circles away.
Petrovic takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Petrovic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A nice side step and Petrovic releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Chodnovski lunges at Petrovic with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Petrovic's hand. Petrovic walks into a jab. Nice shot by Chodnovski. Petrovic shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chodnovski's guard. Chodnovski is wriggling around but Petrovic manages to pass to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Petrovic in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrovic lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Petrovic thows a huge punch but Chodnovski dodges it nicely.
Lazar Petrovic has got the better of the ground game so far. Petrovic stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chodnovski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Petrovic in particular looking to stall. Petrovic throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Petrovic not doing much here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Chodnovski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Petrovic looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Chodnovski lands a lovely overhand right. Chodnovski scores with a body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Chodnovski, as that shot connected.
Chodnovski jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sloppy strikes from Chodnovski. Those never looked like landing. Petrovic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ivan Chodnovski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lazar Petrovic. Chodnovski scores with a hook.
And that's the end of the fight! Ivan Chodnovski showed his dominance in that final round. I think Chodnovski has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
